Barrett Township/Monroe County
County/Municipal tax bills will be mailed out the first week of March. Pocono Mountain School District tax bills will be mailed out the first week of August. These taxes primarily fund local K-12 public education, covering operating expenses like teacher salaries, building maintenance, textbooks, and extracurricular programs. These taxes provide a stable funding source that supports school district budgets and operations.

Interim Bills
Interim taxes are due following an improvement to the property, such as new home construction or the addition of a garage, pool, deck etc. Interim bills cover a period which has already been billed, but was billed at an Assessment Value that did not include the value of the improvement. When mailing a tax payment, please mail at least one week prior to the due date! The US Postal Service picks up once in the morning and routes to a central hub in either the Lehigh Valley or Harrisburg. This results in a delay for the postmark being applied which could result in your payment being deemed late.
